How do I book tickets?

Phones and over the counter
Tickets are available for purchase online direct from the event page. Alternatively you can book through our Box Office on 01225 765 072 or by visiting the Trowbridge Information Centre Monday-Friday 08.30am-5pm & Saturdays 9am-1pm
At the door on the night
The doors to the Civic Centre opens 45mins before the performance starts and if available tickets can be purchased to that day’s performance at the door.
Payment Methods
We accept most major credit and debit cards and cash, but cheques are not accepted as methods of payment for event tickets.
Where offered, concession ticket prices apply to those over 60 or under 16, unwaged, full-time students or people with a disability. We do not offer free carer tickets at this time but a carer can purchase tickets under the Concessions if they are available for the chosen show. Proof of eligibility may be required.
Gift Vouchers
Trowbridge Civic Centre Gift Vouchers are available in any amount in £10.00 denominations and supplied in a Gift Voucher wallet, they are valid for a whole year
from the date of purchase, giving the recipient plenty of time to select a show or concert of choice. No cash change given.
Booking Fees
A £1.50 per transaction booking fee applies to all tickets purchased from our box office. Online sales have fees associated with the ticket site host (TicketSource or Ticketmaster) All ticket prices are shown exclusive of booking fees. Groups of 8+ please call 01225 765 072 to buy fee-free.
What is a booking fee?
A booking fee is an additional payment on top of the ticket price that is retained entirely by the Trowbridge Civic Centre to invest in the venue, whereas the majority of the ticket price
goes to the producer of the show. Booking fees are vital to securing the future of our venue and we thank you for your understanding of this.

Where will I sit?

Seating Plan
The main auditorium seats 594 seats for comedy and 509 seats for all other shows, all designed to be within 60ft from the stage. A full seating plan can be found here. Shows that are standing only will be sold as ‘General Admission’ Depending on the capacity chosen by the promoter for their act there is a chance that there will be no seating at all in the auditorium. This will be made clear on the information on the event listing.
Disabled seating
A number of seats for disabled patrons are marked on the seating plan for every seated show at the Civic Centre, upon booking please select a seat with the disability label and let the box
office know if you require the seat to be removed. These seats if not sold 4 weeks before the show will be reallocated to general seating. For more information, please contact the Ticket Office on 01225 765 072
Wheelchair spaces are designed for standard size wheelchairs – if you have a larger size wheelchair please advise before booking.

Show Information

What time do you open the doors?
The Main Foyer doors open 45mins before the performance start time. The Auditorium doors are usually open half an hour before the performance start time. Auditorium access can vary due to rehearsals and warm-ups on stage.
Can I use a credit/debit card for purchasing snacks, programmes etc.?
Our Bar can take credit and debit cards, however purchases of merchandise or programmes from the tours vary in payment options.
Is there a cash point nearby?
The nearest cash point to the Civic Centre is on the high street in town, opposite the Town Hall. Less than 5min walk.
Can I bring my baby with me?
Yes – if your baby is 12 months or under there is no charge (unless stated otherwise) and they can sit on your lap. However, we do not have a dedicated area that you can safely store
your pram or buggy. The exception to this rule is any show that has a strict age guideline.
Can I sit my child on my lap and not purchase a ticket for them?
Any child over 12 months (unless stated otherwise) must have their own ticket, whether they use the seat or sit on your lap. The exception to this rule is any show that has a strict age guideline.
Will I be allowed in if I am late?
In the majority of cases, yes. Some shows do not allow latecomers to enter the auditorium once the show has started until a suitable break in the performance. Sometimes we may have
to hold people in the foyer for a short period of time before seating them at a particular moment that will ensure minimum disturbance to both cast and audience.
Can I take photographs?
For the majority of performances, no. The appearance of artistes along with the designs for sets and costumes etc are all copyrighted, therefore it is often against the law to photograph
any of it. It can also be both dangerous for the artistes and distracting for other members of the audience, therefore we ask you not to take photographs or use any sort of recording equipment within the Auditorium.
Can I dance during the show?
If it is appropriate for the type of show then yes, of course. We do ask all of our patrons to be considerate of other audience members during the performance.
Is strobe lighting used at the theatre?
It is during some shows. There is always a sign displayed in the foyer to tell you if strobe, flashing lights or any other effects are used during a show. If we know in advance, we will put a warning on the show's page on this website.
Can the cast of the show wish me or a member of my family Happy Birthday / Anniversary during the show?
This will depend on the type of show and is down to each individual company. We cannot guarantee that the company and cast will oblige, we advise you to contact them via social media platforms. Our staff will not be able to hand letters, notes, gifts etc to any of the artists.
Can I meet the cast?
The best suggestion we can offer is to go to stage door after the show and see the performers as they are leaving. It is up to the individual performer as to whether they wish to stop and chat to fans, pose for photos or sign autographs. Occasionally artists will arrange a signing in the Theatre foyer after the show. This will usually be announced on the day.
Can you suggest any hotels in the area?
There are a few hotels situated in close proximity to the Civic Centre. For more information on local accommodation, visit www.trowbridge.gov.uk or speak to a member of our friendly
box Office team.
Can I exchange or get a refund on my tickets?
All tickets are non-refundable except in the instance of a show cancellation or postponement. We are able to exchange tickets for a different performance of the same show subject to availability, with an administration cost of £2 per booking. If a show has sold out and you are unable to use your tickets, we may be able to take them in for re-sale. Please call the Box Office on 01225 765 072 for more information.
Is there Baby Changing facilities?
We have baby changing facilities in our disabled access toilet on the right hand side of the foyer as you enter the venue.
What access facilities are available at the theatre for the Disabled?
The Civic Centre is fully accessible with ramped access from street level at our main entrance to the foyer area.
Are there any Group Discounts?
Only if the promoter provides this offer in contract. Sometimes there will be deals provided by the promoters advertised via the social media platforms. If there is a show you are interested in make sure you follow them on social media to be first to know about any offers. Likewise, by signing up to our Enewsletters you will be first to know about all ticket offers and new releases.

Ticket Dispatch

When will I receive my tickets?
If you are booking online your tickets should be with you as soon as you purchase them, however it could take up to 48hours if there is maintenance on the ticket system. If you
purchase in person at the box office you will get your tickets printed at the time of purchase.
What should I do if I don't receive my tickets?
If you have not received your tickets within a reasonable time after booking, please contact our Box Office on 01225 765 072 to let them know.

Food and Drink

Can I eat at the Civic Centre?
The Civic Centre offers a selection of snacks from the bar. Some events may have more substantial catering offerings. Details for this would be available from the information on the
event page.
Can I pre-order interval drinks?
Interval drinks can be pre-ordered for all Theatre Seated events from the bar upon arrival. Depending on the capacity for the event there may be some bar products unavailable in order to speed up the service from the bar during the interval. Tea & Coffee is only available from a vending machine and Draughts are not available for pre-order drinks.
Can I bring my own food and drink into the Civic Centre?
Patrons are asked not to bring their own food and drink into the venue. Security carry out bag searches and these items will be confiscated. We believe our bar prices are very
competitive against other venues in the area. The income we receive from bar purchases goes a long way to ensuring the Civic Centre can continue to offer the range of events we do today. Without this income we would not be able to run these events. The only exception to this rule would be those who have medical related dietary conditions.
